Spring is here!

The first semester is offically over and I say it was pretty fantastic! I had a week break and it was nice to just relax and have some fun too (even though I was stuck in Rexburg). I'm all moved into my new dorm(: Its the start of Spring and the start of a new semester. Classes start Tuesday and I am actually excited. I have my room pretty much set up, still have to work on getting some decorations in the living room, but have have to wait for all my roommates to get here because I dont want to put stuff up if they dont want to. The stuff I have if they dont want it up then I can put it up as more decoration for my room(: oh and look! Green grass! Isnt it amazing(: looking forward to some better weather soon.. hopefully

The Magic of Disney(:

So a few weeks ago there was this presentation about the Disney College Program and it sounded interesting so I went to check it out. It sounded like a great opportunity! Working at one of the parks in Florida, getting paid(not a ton but some haha), free admission, work experience, putting Disney on my resume. I'm still not sure whether I have been accepted or if I am actually gonna go if I do. Its still in the decision process, but I decided to apply because if I didn't then my decision was pretty much made. So i filled out the online application, did the web-based interview and had my phone interview! I was so nervous, but i think it went pretty well... Hopefully! I should find out within 4to6 weeks. The crazy thing is i get out of school July 23rd and the program starts on August 17th and then goes until January... then i start school again in January!

Spring Semester Here I come!

So I still have a few weeks left of Winter semester, but its getting close to coming to an end. Only 15 more days! But a few days ago i registered for my Spring semester classes. Yay! So here is my schedule:

February 29th, 2011

My friend Amber's birthday was on February 29th, 2011. However since this day did not come this year we celebrated on March 1st(:   We went to see tangled! One of the BEST movies ever! (Next to Princess Bride of course!) I have seen it 4 times already! Good thing we have dollar theater. This is one of my favorite song! I love them all though(:

Pond Skimming!

Last night we went and watched an event here they call Pond Skimming. Basically crazy people dress up in costumes and use either skiis, snowboard or sled and go down a hill and try to make it across this long pool of water. It was pretty funny to watch, but it did get pretty cold.. especially after getting splashed with water. I couldnt imagine how cold it would be after actually going in the water!

Here is one video I took at the pond skimming for this year. There were about 100 people total who went down the hill. Some crashed before even getting to the bottom, some made is halfway across or just barely into the water and some actually made it all the way across. Luckily there were no major injuries. Here are a couple other videos.. These one have better costumes. 

Missionary Letters

So far I have been so lucky to hear from Peter on a regular basis. I love hearing about how he is doing and everything going on. It just makes my week whenever I get a letter, I am just so excited to read what he has to say(: If you are interested take a look at his blog http://elderreese.blogspot.com/ Also he has encouraged me to set up an account on mormon.org (I haven't yet but will soon!) please feel free to take a look at this site if you are interested in learning more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints or if you are a member please join and share your testimony. It is a very useful tool for Missionaries and is a great way to learn more about the church

Valentine's Day!

To start off I went down to the Cocoa Bean Cupcake Shop and saw this cute shirt so I thought it would be nice to wear on Valentine's Day.

Then I made some Valentine's for my roommates and FHE Group. That night for FHE we made homemade pizza and celebrated the Birthday of one of the girls in our group. 

Here are all the Valentine's I received. I got some hearts and a letter from Peter(: I got a card and a few small things from my parents. And Jenny gave me, Rose and Alissa a flower. All in all it was a pretty good day.

MormonAds

So I got a bunch of the MormonAds and copied them together in to small posters and then laminated them to use them as decoration for our dorm! They really make our living room less plain(: I really like them too! They have some good messages.

Aunt Fran's Banana Bread

A few weeks ago I bought some bananas but didn't eat them all. I had three left and they had started to go brown so i decided to make Banana Bread(: I used Aunt Fran's banana bread recipe! Its an old family recipe that my Grannee uses. It was pretty good.
