College Life Begins..

I've had a few weeks now to get adjusted to life as a college student. So far its been pretty good. I like most of my class and they haven't gotten too hard yet. I've also had some pretty fun times outside of class. I've started going to a zumba class! Its so much fun and definitely a work out. Here is a video to explain a little what the class is...

The other day I went sledding for the first time here and had tons of fun! One thing i have to say is snow in the face is a whole experience in it self haha.

Every Sunday so far my roommates and I have taken turned making a "family" dinner and also inviting another dorm over. The first Sunday Rose made dinner and invited a dorm from across the hall. Since then we have all become pretty good friends have have done a lot together. The next Sunday Alissa cooked and invited our FHE sisters over. It was great getting to know them better. Last Sunday I cooked, I made a recipe that Peter had given me that was super good (and cheap which is nice on a college budget) and then for dessert I made Oreo Cheese Cake! Yum(: I invited a dorm from across the hall and it was a great chance to meet new people. This Sunday is Jenny's turn to cook and she invited our FHE brothers over so we can get to know them a little better too.

Speaking of Family Home Evening (FHE) our group is pretty awesome! We have a family home every Monday night were we all get together and have a lesson and then do something fun. The first week we were supposed to go ice skating, but sadly the rink was closed because apparently it wasn't cold enough.. which i disagree. oh well so instead we went bowling! Then last Monday we had a game night which was fun. I'm excited to get to know my FHE group and have fun as well as learn.

Welcome to Rexburg!

On December 28th, 2010 I left Elk Grove, Ca and headed to Utah were I was able to spend some time with family. On New Years Eve we all stayed at the cabin and made a sign for my cousin Jake, who is currently serving in the Billings, Montana Mission. 




On January 3rd, 2011 I moved in to my 105 Virginia H. Perkins Hall in Rexburg, Idaho. My roommates are my best friend Jenny and then my new friends Alissa and Rose. I'm so excited and we are all getting along great! On January 5th classes started. I am currently taking Book of Mormon, Science Foundations (they call the General Education classes Foundations) American Foundations, Math Foundations 108, Money Management, and a general studies class called College Success (which helps with adjusting to college life as well as skills such as time management and studying). So far I am loving all my class and am looking forward to the semester ahead.

On my Birthday, January 14th 2011, I woke up to find my roommates had decorated the living room, made a cake and even had a card with a bunch of totsie rolls for me (:


Alissa even wrote me this poem! It made me laugh. She is awesome.

We all went to Sammy's (a local restaurant) and had some amazing shakes! We stopped along the way and took a group picture.






After Sammy's some one of the dorms were having a sleepover so we all went over there. We tried to make a pyramid, but it didn't work out so well so we did it the easy way(: I love this picture.

For my Birthday I asked my mom to get me the Missionary Outfit from build-a-bear! So I put it on the build-a-bear Peter and I made(:

Katie Hogge and Jackie Milligan stopped by and brought me flower and a cupcake! They are so nice!!

Utah Trip, St, George.

So we left for our trip on Friday after school and headed for Vegas. By one o'clock in the morning we got about and hour out of Vegas and decided to stop and get some sleep (Which was nice because the car isn't very comfortable and i didn't get very much sleep). But anyways to make a long story short the next day we got to St. George, went to the temple, visited with my grandparents and great grandparents. Sunday we went to church did some more visiting and had lots of FUN!. Peter had a good time. :)

Halloween

Halloween was pretty fun! In the morning after i was done cooking fingers and toes with grannee and courtnee, Peter came over and we carved Pumpkins :) it was my first time using the stencil designs. I liked how they turned out. Mine are the first two (the face and Cinderella), then Peter did Buzz Lightyear and Scar and my dad figured he was too good for designs and came up with his own face :)

Powder Puff

This year I finally was able to play powderpuff football. It was so much fun! Luckily i didn't get to hurt, just sore for a while. There were a few people who ended up with broken bones. OUCH. I was so happy that i had people there to watch and support me. It was great!

Then afterward we ate in-n-out :) and my dad went a little over board with the camera.
